7 Nights Dolphin and Yoga Retreat
🐬 Meet Wild Dolphins
Meet wild dolphins and reconnect with nature on a one-week getaway — for those who want more than a hotel. Sataya Reef — protected marine area, home to a resident pod of wild spinner dolphins.
What awaits you

Wild dolphins, open-sea yoga, coral lagoons

No dive certification needed. Designed for first-time liveaboard guests and experienced wellness travellers alike.

🐬 Wild Spinner Dolphins
Sataya hosts a resident pod of 80 to 100+ spinner dolphins that rest in the protected lagoon during daylight hours. We anchor inside the lagoon, enter the water quietly, and let them decide. They usually come close.
SATAYA REEF · SOUTHERN RED SEA
🪸 Coral Lagoon Snorkelling
The reef’s crescent shape creates a protected lagoon with calm, warm water and colourful reef life. Multiple snorkelling sessions throughout the week at Sataya and surrounding reef sites — no crowds, consistent visibility, surface accessible at all times.
SATAYA REEF · REEF GARDENS
🧘 Daily Hatha Yoga with Elena
Every morning on deck, open sea all around. Elena Shilova is a certified yoga instructor and retreat leader. Sessions adapt to all levels — no prior experience needed, beginners and experienced practitioners both welcome.
ON DECK · MY JPMARINE
🎵 Meditation with Singing Bowls
Each evening after the water sessions, Elena leads a guided meditation with Tibetan singing bowls. A structured wind-down that pairs naturally with the rhythm of the sea and the colours of the Red Sea sunset.
ON DECK · EVERY EVENING
🎨 Neurographics & Evening Activities
Neurographics is a drawing-based creative practice that works with the nervous system. Evenings also include dancing on deck, sunsets, and free time — a natural complement to days spent in the water.

🌊 HEPCA Passive Observation
Every encounter at Sataya follows HEPCA passive observation guidelines. We anchor inside the lagoon, enter the water quietly, and let the dolphins decide. Daily encounters are not guaranteed — these are wild animals in their home — but the resident pod is there year-round and sightings are reliable on most departures.

How we approach

Our dolphin observation principles

Three rules that apply at every dolphin encounter, every week, without exception.

🌊
Passive observation only
We anchor inside the lagoon and enter the water quietly — no noise, no splashing entries, no chasing. If dolphins approach, it is entirely their choice. We follow HEPCA guidelines at every encounter, every week.
🤫
We respect their rest cycle
Spinner dolphins rest in the lagoon during daylight hours before heading to open water at night to feed. We time entries to minimise disturbance and exit immediately if dolphins show signs of stress or avoidance.
📋
Encounters are never guaranteed
These are wild animals in their natural habitat, not a show. The resident pod at Sataya is there year-round and sightings are reliable on most departures — but we never promise daily contact.
HEPCA & marine protection

All dolphin encounters aboard MY JPMarine follow HEPCA passive observation guidelines. Sataya Reef is a protected marine area and home to one of the most stable resident spinner dolphin pods in the Red Sea. Fewer boats visit Sataya compared to the closer Samadai Reef — encounters here are quieter and more natural.

We actively support marine protection and responsible wildlife encounter practice in the Red Sea:

“Seven nights aboard MY JPMarine snorkelling with a resident pod of 80 to 100 wild spinner dolphins at Sataya Reef, with daily hatha yoga on deck and singing bowls at sunset.”

Southern Red Sea

The locations — what to expect

Sataya Reef
The Dolphin Lagoon · 10km offshore · Crescent-shaped reef · Southern Red Sea
Protected Marine Area

Sataya Reef sits approximately 10km off the Egyptian coast and is only reachable by boat. The reef’s crescent shape forms a protected lagoon — calm, warm water that shields the resident spinner dolphin pod from predators and strong currents, making it a natural daytime refuge. The resident pod numbers between 80 and 100+ individuals.

Because fewer boats make the journey to Sataya compared to the closer Samadai Reef, encounters here feel wilder and more natural. All entries follow HEPCA passive observation guidelines — we anchor inside the lagoon, enter quietly, and let the dolphins decide. Sightings are reliable on most departures; daily encounters are not guaranteed.

Southern Red Sea

Beyond Sataya, the southern Red Sea offers accessible coral reef snorkelling — walls, sandy lagoons, and abundant fish life within easy reach of the surface. No strong currents, no crowds. Consistent visibility throughout the week.

Sites are selected each week based on conditions. A snorkelling guide is present at every session. No prior certification required.

Questions about Sataya or the snorkelling sites? Elena and our team know this route every week.

FAQ

Questions we get every week

Do I need scuba certification or any swimming experience?
No scuba certification is needed. This is a snorkelling and yoga retreat — basic swimming ability is sufficient. A snorkelling guide is present at every water session and the lagoon at Sataya is calm and surface-accessible throughout.
Are dolphin encounters at Sataya guaranteed?
Daily encounters are not guaranteed — these are wild animals in their natural habitat, not a show. The resident pod of 80 to 100+ spinner dolphins lives at Sataya year-round, and sightings are reliable on most departures. We follow HEPCA passive observation guidelines: we anchor inside the lagoon, enter the water quietly, and let the dolphins decide if they want company.
What level of yoga experience do I need?
No prior yoga experience is required. Elena adapts each session to the group’s level. Beginners are welcome alongside experienced practitioners. Morning sessions take place on deck with open sea all around — all you need is to show up.
What is the €215 environmental tax and fuel fee?
This is a mandatory charge covering Egyptian maritime environmental protection taxes and fuel costs for the southern Red Sea route to Sataya Reef. It is paid separately and is not included in the retreat price. All guests must pay this fee.
Which airports does the transfer cover, and when?
Airport transfers are included from Hurghada and Marsa Alam airports within a defined arrival and departure timeframe. Contact Elena or our team before finalising your flights to make sure your arrival and departure times align with the transfer schedule.
Is this retreat suitable for solo travellers?
Yes. A significant proportion of guests on each departure travel solo. The retreat format — shared meals, morning yoga on deck, group snorkelling sessions — naturally creates connection. Elena builds an inclusive group atmosphere from the first day.
How do I contact Elena directly?
Elena Shilova is the certified yoga instructor and retreat leader for this programme. You can reach her directly by WhatsApp at +7 926 278-55-35. For logistics and booking questions you can also contact our team at info@divesafarimaster.com.
