A few things worth knowing before you order

🩱 Wetsuits β€” long suits only
All wetsuits available for rental are full-length 5mm suits. The Red Sea water temperature ranges from 22Β°C in winter to 30Β°C in summer β€” for multiple dives per day across a full week, a full-length suit is the right choice in every season. If you prefer a shorty or a 3mm in summer, bring your own πŸ™‚
🦢 Fins β€” open heel only
All fins aboard are open heel fins designed to be used with boots. This is the correct setup for liveaboard scuba diving β€” it gives you the support and fit you need for multiple dives per day in varying conditions. Closed heel pocket fins are not suitable for this type of diving. If you are renting fins, you will also need to rent boots, or bring your own.
πŸ“‹ Pre-order is obligatory
We do not keep a stock of equipment sitting on the boat. Every item is prepared and brought aboard specifically for your order. If you have not pre-ordered, we cannot guarantee anything will be available for your week. You will receive an order form link after your deposit is confirmed β€” fill it in as soon as possible and be precise with your measurements.

FAQ

Questions we get every week

Do I need to book equipment in advance or can I just show up?
Pre-booking is obligatory. We do not stock rental equipment aboard permanently β€” every item is prepared and brought on board specifically for each guest based on their order. If you do not pre-order, we cannot guarantee availability for your week.
How do I place my rental order?
After your deposit is paid and booking is confirmed, you will receive a link to an online form where you complete all necessary measurements and select the equipment you need. Fill it in as soon as you receive it β€” this is how we prepare your kit before departure.
What sizes do I need to provide?
For wetsuits and BCD: your height and weight. For fins and boots: your shoe size. The more precise you are, the better fit you will get β€” guessing leads to ill-fitting gear which affects your diving.
Can I try the equipment when I arrive on the boat?
Yes. Upon arrival you will have time to check and try your equipment before the first dive. If something does not fit correctly, tell us immediately and we will do our best to find an alternative. The best way to avoid this situation is to provide accurate measurements when you complete your order form.
Is the equipment well maintained?
All rental equipment is professionally serviced on a yearly basis. BCDs and regulators are checked and serviced before every season. You are personally responsible for checking that your scuba set is complete and functioning correctly before each dive.
What if equipment gets lost or damaged during my trip?
Each diver is personally liable for the equipment assigned to them. Penalty charges apply for lost or damaged items β€” the price list is shown further down on this page. Treat rental gear as you would your own.
Is there spare equipment on board in case something breaks?
We carry limited spare equipment for genuine malfunctions. However with up to 28 guests aboard, it is not realistic for everyone to rely on the boat’s spares as a backup plan. We strongly recommend bringing your own backup for critical small items β€” mask strap, fin strap, O-rings.
Can I bring my own equipment and just rent one or two items?
Yes. You can rent individual items β€” BCD, regulator, wetsuit, computer, fins, mask, boots, torch β€” each priced separately per dive week. If you have your own regulator but need a wetsuit, just order the wetsuit. Everything can be ordered by the piece.
Is nitrox available and does it require a certification?
Yes, nitrox is available aboard in both 12L and 15L tanks at unlimited fills for the week. Nitrox certification is required β€” if you are not yet certified, a Nitrox course is available aboard on selected departures. Confirm availability when booking.
Can I book equipment rental after I have already confirmed my trip?
Yes, as long as you do it before the departure date. The earlier you order the better β€” last-minute requests may not be fulfilled if specific sizes are not available.
What wetsuit thickness do you recommend for the Red Sea?
A 5mm wetsuit is the standard and is what we stock for rental. Water temperature ranges from 22Β°C in winter to 30Β°C in summer. In summer months some divers prefer a 3mm β€” if you have one, bring it. In winter 5mm is recommended for multiple dives per day.
